Care and Support
Biire provides care and support for people living with HIV /AIDS. We provide a continuum of comprehensive care comprising of nursing care, access to drugs, counseling and psycho-social support through home-based care without any discrimination.
HIV / AIDS has a long incubation period, hence people living with HIV require long, continuous treatment. Hospital care in such situations may not be feasible, therefore emphasis on an on-going home-based care are of absolute necessity in such cases.
Our care and support services are tailored according to the individual needs of the people infected. Ultimately, we help People Living with HIV / AIDS to lead healthy and productive lives.
We are committed to helping PLWHA access appropriate medical care and other support services some of which include:
Buddy program and hospital visit
Advice on proper nutritional supplements
Ensure access to adequate laboratory tests (CD4 count, Viral load, etc)
Home based care / Anti-retroviral Therapy (ART) delivery services
Skill building and empowerment initiatives for positive single mothers
Referrals to other health centers and organizations
Language interpretation in Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa
Financial and health assistance for PLWHA such as regular medical services and blood test
