Board of Trustees
Dr. Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi
Dr. Taiwo Olayinka Afolabi is the Chairman of Biire Community Health and Development Initiative. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SIFAX Group, a multinational conglomerate. He is also a seasoned maritime consultant and a Fellow of many professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Financial Management (NIFM), Institute of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (IFFN) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of Nigeria.
Aside being renowned for his business acumen, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi has also established a reputation as a public-spirited individual. His philanthropic philosophy has driven him to give hope and support to many public causes. The Federal Government also recognized the great contributions of Dr Taiwo Afolabi hence conferred on him the Member of the Order of Niger (MON). Dr Afolabi sits on the Board of Biire Community Health and Development initiative as the Chairman of the Board Trustees.
Pastor Ituah Ighodalo
Pastor Ituah Ighodalo is a Pastor, an Accountant, a Thinker, a Social Reformer and a Writer. He obtained a B.Sc. combined honours degree in Economics and Accounting in 1982 from the University of Hull, England, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July 1986 and attended a Business Management Course at the Harvard Business School, Boston in 2011.
Pastor Ituah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria, member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, member American Society of Industrial Security and member, American Institute of Management. He sits on the board of Biire Community Health and Development initiative a Trustee/Advisory
Dr. Atinuke Uwaje
Dr Uwajeh is a senior pediatrician at Pediatric Partners Hospital. She completed her medical training at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital and subsequently went for her residency training at the Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C.
Dr. Uwajeh completed her fellowship year in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago Children Hospital. She has practiced at various hospitals and clinics in the United States. Dr. Uwajeh has since returned to Nigeria and working Pediatric Partners Hospital. Dr. is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She sits on the Board of Biire Community Health and Development Initiative as a Trustee, bringing her wealth of experience to serve the disadvantage and vulnerable children.
Ms. Tundun Victoria Abiola
Tundun is a Lawyer and an Entrepreneur with years of experience in the Legal and Maritime Industry. She has occupied senior roles in both the Executive and Legislative arms of government at state and national levels. She is currently also a co-presenter of The Morning Show on Arise TV.
Tundun is also passionate about good governance. She is an advocate of access to quality health care and education most importantly for women and the girl child. Ms Abiola serves on the Board as member and provides advice to the organization.
Management
Oludare Ajayi
Oludare Ajayi is a humanitarian with over 15 years experience in international development work. Oludare bagged an MSc in Management of Non-Governmental Organizations from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2004 and subsequently worked as an African support worker at Gloucester AIDS Trust (now Terrance Higgins Trust) in Gloucestershire UK. He left the UK and returned to Nigeria to work as a World Bank Consultant at the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA).
Oludare was subsequently hired as full-time staff at under the program’s coordination unit in NACA, where he technically supported the mainstreaming of HIV into the MDAs, he also worked with the department of civil society organization (CSO) where he provided technical support to CSOs in accessing World Bank grant, as well monitored implementation of programs. After 3 years of public service at NACA, Mr Ajayi founded Biire Child and Maternal Health Foundation (Now Biire Community Development and Health Initiatives). Dare Ajayi is committed to the plight of vulnerable women particularly pregnant women, nursing mothers and children. He is resourceful, self-motivated, hardworking and diligent. Mr. Ajayi is currently the Executive Director of Biire Community Development and Health Initiative.
Omolola Archer
Omolola Archer studied English at university of Lagos and holds a master degree in Diplomacy and strategic studies from the same Alma Mater. Omolola is a season public relations expert who has held top positions in different leading advertising agencies.
Omolola manages our external relationships and local partnerships. More importantly Omolola is passionate about children particularly the girl child and she is working to create a healthier live and equal opportunity for the most vulnerable,
Adedeji Yaqub Arisekola
Adedeji Yaqub Arisekola is a highly skilled and passionate project coordinator with a strong focus positive health outcomes. He has played a pivotal role in the success of several projects under the Biire Foundation, where his leadership and dedication have had a lasting impact on vulnerable communities.
As the Project coordinator of the school feeding initiative, Adedeji successfully implemented a School Feeding Project in the hard-to-reach area of Iba Oloja community in Ibeju Lekki. This initiative, supported by Sahara Energy, provided essential nutrition to children, significantly enhancing their school attendance and overall well-being.
In addition, Arisekola managed the Comprehensive Care and Support project for Persons Living with HIV, offering critical services that improved the quality of life for affected individuals. He’s also a recipient of Platinum Voluntary blood donor from Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee
He was also part of the team that facilitated the donation of hospital equipments to primary health centers in Lagos, a project supported by the Japanese government.
