Primary Health Care Facility Rehabilitation
The Nigerian health care has severely depleted overtime. Despite Nigerian’s strategic position in Africa, the country is greatly underserved in regards to health care. Health facilities (health centers, personnel, and medical equipment) are inadequate in several parts of the country, especially in rural areas.
On the 19th of March 2013, the Japanese Government and BIIRE signed a Grant Contract for procurement of health equipment after the assessment of the primary health care facilities and a thorough tender process. Subsequently, the Japanese Government provided the sum of $121,883 for the purchase and installation of life saving equipment.
